About Christopher Molder

Christopher - 2Christopher is a mortgage broker based in Toronto, Canada. And a son of a broker too.

Following in his father’s foot steps he joined the family mortgage business straight out of university and came to be known as the son of a broker from his colleagues. While some kids grow up dreaming of being a doctor, lawyer, pro athlete, rock star, Chris wanted to become a mortgage broker.

Today Christopher is partner in the family business, Tridac Corporation Ltd – The Mortgage Centre. He created this blog sonofabroker.com in 2009 as a way to share his insights about the mortgage industry. Christopher believes that you are paying your lender too much in interest and has focused his professional career on showing clients how to reduce their mortgage debt.  The experience and concepts he uses have been passed down through the generation from father to son.

Christopher is an avid skier and races high performance catamarans in the summer. He also expresses his artistic side by playing in a Toronto based flamenco fusion band, Santerias. Christopher is co-chair of the Danforth Business Improvement Association. He speaks Spanish (yes fluently) and is inspired by urban Toronto in all of it’s uniqueness.
